free ipod anyone?

I saw this website from classifieds on Nottingham site...said free ipod for filling in an online form or something. Well I'm not certain about it, but to finish I need to refer friends so....

I wonder if it means referring friends that someone has to do it!

OMG it's nearly been 4 months!

I'm so sorry people!!! It's just not on me not keeping you up to date on how things are going - very rude of me! Well I thought I'd catch you up on how life is treating me. I have up and down moments and the dowm moments are normaly related to Africa and involved tears - fret not - tis normal!!!
This morning was so good!!! Wanted to walk to uni getting to the shops around 11.15 so that I could bump into this guy I kinda know (he went to tanzzania the year before I did - and he's SOOO fit!!!) like F-I-T FIT or H-O-T-T HOT!!! Anyways, I left little later than I should have, but it was a probability that it woudl still be ok, I'd just see him nearer my end that to the uni end. I'm looking on the other side of the road (as much as I could cos the sun was in my eyes whe I did) and I couldn't recognise him...then I got to the first lot of traffic lights and was determined to cross (because he stays on opposite side of road) and I cross the first half..then I look at the cars coming - some coming, then other way and I think I see him...no cars coming anymore so I crossed and yes it was him! I don't know if I kinda smiled first, but I think he realised and I got a smile too! YES!!! I was so happy after lol...I think the guy walking behind him about 2 metres or so thought I was strange prob lol! I texted a friend who knows him as well...and said 'Just walked past James and he smiled at me. I've got a huge grin on my face now hee hee. How sad?' she replied 'Ahh Bitch. Im well jealous. Have to be on the prowl in t wells...' that's where she lives and he lives around there as well! I replied saying if you go on the prowl I'm joining you!
He was attached but he is now single!!! Come on! lol...nothing with happen - I mean it's so totally one way liking!
So that was the happy news - I can't remember what number he said he lived down one road, think it was 102! drop a xmas card off on the way to town one day! Back to the thing. There's whole issues of who to live with next year. It's so complex. I think it would be safer me saying I do want to live with people here than person on my course or these random people, who i've only spoken to one on msn, but lives in the same area as me but in the other section....we'll see! I shoudl go now, got lots of work and it's lunch time - working my ass off after lunch!!!

home again....naturally

So I'm back in England now. Kinda wish i wasn't. People may be tired of me saying that, but it's the truth. All of us gappers lately read a book called "A Life in the Gap" or something like that. anyways, it's really good. Has good pointers that no matter how hard you try to show or convince someone how good a place was, they will never know, not even if they were there with you cos everyone has different experiences for everything.
Anyways. Tanzania is GORGEOUS!!! I think anyone should go there to see how beautiful it is. Yes there are lots of beautiful places, but this one means a lot to me. There are over 71 children i know there and I have friends there. That's what made it hard to leave, that I'd made the most of the time and made friends out there who i would only see again if i was to return to tz. I'm going to. Definitely after uni and hopefully as a holiday in between then and now. I really want to go back and see everyone. It sucks to leave friends behind.
Back here it's cold and yuk! to describe. Also, I feel as though I don't really belong, what with not knowing any music, and any I hear thinking this is terrible. The same with films...everything! Right, not going to keep blabbering on. Be good to meet up with you lot, so leave a message and i'll get back to you asap. talk to you soon

mad!

Ok, so haven't written here for a long time, sorry bout that just so busy! Lots has happened and it's bad stuff. Hasn't happened to me thnakfully, but still TERRIBLE. Richard had his digital camera stolen and then 2 weeks after it went they found out who took it. started to get that sorted and then they were stolen from again. this time; 2 ipods, 2 tape players, earphones, becky's bag which had her umbrella in it and colouring pencils...oh and her passport!!!
Then this guy called Godlisten, who is a friend of Ashleys said he'd seen it in arusha and would take them to buy it back. becky had to pay 20,000 (10 pounds) for her passport and they paid 15,000 for each ipod (bargain) BUT it was SO suspicious that he happened to be in arusha and HAPPENED to see the stuff and know who to go to.
Yesterday becky had said how she really wanted her bag (like days before) and he said he was in moshi all of yesterday looking for it and found it. he described it exactly and even what soap she had inside---he hasn't been told what her bag looks like!!!! GUILTY!!! so trying to set it up so he can get put in jail for all the hassle.
Rich unfortunately wont likely see his camera ever again. he's so upset and understandably. becky and ashley had an arguement last night (ashley was in the wrong completely about trusting everyone and becky said dont critisice when i'm skeptical of people - he blew) then rich said something along the lines of; you've got your stuff back, or something. ellie said that he was really close to crying last night. he'd promised his kids he would come in today (he was going to last week but then the second thieving happened) but he was told he had to go to himo to talk to the police, so we dont know if he can go teach. it's such a nightmare.
They are all going to need to be around for court hearings as they'll be witnesses, so their holidays may well be ruined by all this. they hac\d things planned!!!! It's a nightmare. We've been told no one is allowed in the houses anymore. Sucks for ellie she was having her kids over and we'd said yes fine as long as lock everything away. she's been told they aren't allowed to now. I was going to have people over, BUT Bob will be there and I'm going to check with him if he thinks still alright.
The next madness....climbing kili in 2 days....EEEKKKK! So climbing friday to tuesday. Anyways, will write a blog on that later. Must dash...oh going to send an email to people see if they'll do last minute sponsoring....talk to you all soon

The news is......Bob!!! Pretty much official that we are together. He's African, and is the charity leaders setp-son. He was poss still married, but not sure if still is, but his parents say it is alright us being together, though i care what his 'wife' says as I really like her and class her as a friend. another update, shocking I know

Hello one and all! This may have repetition from the blog before, but tough s**t!!! This is another update. I tried sending one the other day but the computer packed up, wasn't impressed! So this will be a renewed update! So this is my last week of holidays in Zanzibar, and it has been awesome, minus the odd times I've been burnt, but nothing too severe. My feet are still the brownest part of my body, and no it isn't because they are dirty!! It is just Becky and myself now, the other 5 headed back to the mainland thursday evening, as they are teaching a week earlier than required! It has been interesting since then that they left, we get far more interesting greetings from people and less people trying to take us places just hitting on us really. Some of the remarks are funny, like; I like the way you walk! (That's great, I walk like most people do, left foot, right foot, how difficult) what else....oh sexy ladies, and whistles, that was new until yesterday. Trying to think what else. Really difficult to remember now.
I shall start with what we have done since we were here; tried seeing some dolphins but to no avail, but have done some snorkeling, which was cool, and we did a spice tour, which was really good. We went around the island, so up north to Kendwa where we were for the full moon party. It was alright, nothing special, better when they played music we knew....of course. Becky and I went and sat on the beach at the early hours, and Ashley joined us and then someone he met in football that afternoon came (Rico) and he took a shinning to me, but then took a shining to becky after i left...how rude! Then we headed to Nungwi, and then Jambiani and now we are back in Stone Town until we head back home.
OMG, we went to The Garage - the club here! It was interesting. We went to a bar which sells cheaper alcohol, bought a bottle of konyagi to share costing us a total of TS4000 and in marangu it's TS2500. We only had time to have some with one drink and then it closed, so we took the bottle with us and needed some mixers. We bumped into some old masai friends on the way, and we went and sat in the park with them. It was all good, they taught us how to count to 10 in masai, althouh i do not remember it all now, and don't know the spellings. noba, alle, uni, oman, mietz, 6, hapshana, 8, 9, tamon. That's quite good seeing as I was on the verge of being drunk/being drunk from the konyagi, you really don't need much for you to go really. Then they kinda got more friendly, and well Moses (guy i was talking to) had his arm around my waist for not sure how long, a logn time, hadn't bothered me, but miliya was starting to annoy becky, so we took our leave to the club. It was still dead despite the 1am time, and so we had some drinks downstairs; buddha's belly. SO nice! We met Simba (who debbie and sue had met two nights before) and he is WACKY! He bought us a shot of amarula though, so not too wacky. He got a bit too friendly with becky, well far to friendly for her liking really. When we went to the club (it was upstairs to the bar) we danced and had a few people wanting to dance with us, who can blame them, eh? Sele (who we'd been talking to in the bar) danced with me, and he did know how to dance I have to say, though unfortunately he was short!!! So we stayed there until 4am, drinking mainly because the club wasn't that great, well the music mainly. They played three songs in one and you were never sure which song out of the song you were wanting to dance to!. So we went back to the hotel and went straight to sleep. The next day we didn't wake up till about 2, and got up a little while after that. Becky wasn't feeling great but basically because she'd bashed her head on the low toilet doorways a fwe times, but felt better after being ill (making herself ill) then we headed out to get a bit of grub....mistake...i didn't feel ill, but felt better when nothing in my stomach! So we headed back to the hotel to just read or fall asleep, i did the latter and we went out in the evening to get some food then went back and slept, so a day well wasted. Today we have tried to sort out prison island tour and sunset cruise trip to no avail. We did do touristy stuff though, like seeing the slave market and looking aroudn teh palace museum and the house of wonders (which was a bit boring really). We just had lunch and then ice-cream at another place (going there for lunch on wednesday) and then came here. We met my masai bloke outside unfortunately. He remembers us, but don't think he remembers saying he loved me, maybe he does but ah well. Before they got like that, I was going to suggest that they come to the club with us, but decided against that after a while. Once finished using the internet, going to check out a few tourist shops, not buying anything as they are WAY too pricey, but getting ideas of stuff to look for in more local shops where you are able to bargain down the prices. Well not much else from me, I am going to head off and check a few things out that I couldn't last time and hope to talk to you all shortly.

annoyed now

damn annoyed now! I just wrote out something that will be very similar to this in an email to everyone who doesn't look at this and when i inserted all the addresses it had deleted the messae, damn hotmail. Apologies for missing letters or letters the wrong way round in words, but this keyboard isn't that good, and even worse for correcting mistakes.
Back to the beginning. In zanzibar, it is awesome! Here for only another week, 5 of the group have headed back home yesterday evening and it is just becky and myself here now. It should be awsome, well we hope it is anyways. The others headed back because two are teaching their class a week earlier (as their class were never on holiday really) and two others are teaching a different class for a week (as some of the kids in those classes are coming on the safari with us when we get back) and Sue has headed back so she can save money, so it's all good really. Since we've been here, we've tried to see some dolphins, have gone snorkelling, went on a spice tour, saw som monkeys, what else? Oh and went to a Full Moon Party (a party on the night of the full moon, in case people had the same idea as jim). So shall start with the full moon party. it was good, when they had some good music on. near the end, i had rico (who we met on the beach, although ashley met him playing football earlier in teh day) take a shining to me - who can blame him really? - anyways, i was desperatly trying to get the others to leave, so that i could take a swift exit from him, but to no avail. So a song came on we wanted to dance to, so we went and he followed, and so to the next song or two i danced with him, and then ellie and i took a swift exit. he was going to come see me the next day, but a) he became becky's boyfriend after i left and b) he seemed to forget. What a shame! Anyways, so that was a good night. Becky, Ellie and I who were sharing a room, called the princess room (as we were and still are the three princesses, although i am the original - as debs calls me princess. We were Becky; perfect, ellie;passion and myself posie) anyways we all went on a cocktail crawl befoe the party and the best place had to be the last bar as it had swings outside, and the bartenders were nice etc one called joseph who wanted to see us laterat e prty, but we didn't see him, ah well. It's funny the stuff that people say to you here, like i like the way you walk....and we think; oh one foot in front of the other like most people? Yeah, same! It's so stupid. Ah well. What else. Well skip to now; becky and I are going to be going clubbing this evenign at the garage, should be an interesting night, costs 2000 shillings to get in, so about 1 pound roughly, and hopefully have some good tunes. what else, oh we are going to go on a sunset cruise as well, how romantic. WE are mainly going to be sitting by the pool like we did today though i think, which was rather nice. Well not sure if there is much else. Oh some gossip from out here, becky and richard are officially an item, i know none of you know them, but it is good gossip and has taken them their time to get together. Not much else really, hope to hear from you all soon, write to me, although i like emails, REALLY like handwritten as well. Address;
